TOUR PROGRAM:

The tour begins with pick-up from your hotel in Yerevan by our professional guide and driver.

Our first stop is Saghmosavank Monastery, built in the 13th century in a Greek cross architectural plan. During the Middle Ages, the monastery played an important role in Armenia’s religious, academic, and cultural development. It stands out for both its impressive architecture and dramatic location overlooking the Kasagh Gorge.

We then proceed to Amberd Fortress, located at approximately 2,300 meters above sea level. Meaning “Fortress in the Clouds,” Amberd dates back to the 7th century and remains one of Armenia’s best-preserved medieval defensive structures.

The tour continues with a visit to Karmravor Church, one of the most iconic landmarks of Ashtarak. Built in the 7th century using large square stone blocks, this small cross-domed church is also associated with the well-known legend of the three sisters.

Our next destination is Oshakan, a sacred center where the tomb of Saint Mesrop Mashtots, the creator of the Armenian alphabet, is located. The cathedral built in his honor was reconstructed in 1875 by Catholicos George IV.

After completing the program, we return to Yerevan and transfer our guests back to their hotels.
