Baku Treasures Tour Included in Our Service

Our tour begins by exploring the Icerisehir region, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and known as the historic heart of Baku.

Our first stop in this area is the Miniature Book Museum, which houses some of the world's smallest book collections. This unique museum offers visitors a fascinating experience with its rare works and special collections.

Next, we visit the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, one of Azerbaijan’s architectural wonders. Built in the 15th century by Shirvanshah Khalilullah after relocating the capital from Shamakhi to Baku, the palace served as the administrative center during the Shirvanshahs’ reign. Following the earthquakes that damaged Shamakhi, the Shirvanshahs established a new administrative center in Baku. The palace is a remarkable representation of Islamic architecture and culture of its time.

In İçerişehir, we also visit the Mohammed Mosque, one of Baku’s oldest mosques, and the Juma Mosque, renowned for its magnificent stone craftsmanship. Built in the 11th century, the Mohammed Mosque is also known as the Siniggala Mosque. It holds significant importance in Azerbaijani architectural history as its minaret features an inscription considered one of the oldest written records. The mosque’s simple and elegant design reflects the characteristics of early Islamic architecture.

The Juma Mosque, constructed in the 19th century, replaced an older mosque previously located on the same site. Named after its role as a gathering place for Friday prayers, it is an essential place of worship for the people of Baku. The mosque’s design combines traditional Azerbaijani architectural elements with strikingly simple yet impressive stone craftsmanship.

Another highlight of our tour in this region is the Maiden Tower, an iconic symbol of Baku steeped in legends. Dating back to the 12th century, this mysterious tower allows us to feel the magic of the past as we enjoy a leisurely stroll through İçerişehir’s narrow streets.

Our next stop is the Literature Museum, which showcases Azerbaijan’s literary richness. Here, we learn about the works and life stories of famous writers who have shaped the country’s literary history.

We then visit the Taghiyev House Museum, reflecting the life of renowned Azerbaijani industrialist and philanthropist Taghiyev, as well as Baku’s history, giving us a closer look at the city’s cultural heritage.

Baku Boulevard, representing the city’s modern face, is a perfect spot for a scenic walk along the Caspian Sea. This unique setting offers a blend of the city’s modern structures and historical richness.

We then move on to the Carpet Museum. Located in Baku, the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum is the first museum in the world dedicated to carpets. Established in 1967, it relocated to its new building on the Caspian Sea shoreline in 2014. Designed by architect Franz Janz, this modern structure resembles the folds of a carpet, serving as both a visually striking piece of art and a cultural center reflecting the history of carpet-making. The museum showcases the elegance and artistic details of handwoven carpets, immersing visitors in Azerbaijan’s rich carpet-weaving tradition.

Towards the end of the day, we explore one of Baku’s charming and entertaining corners, Mini Venice. Located within Baku Boulevard, this modern tourist attraction is famous for its small canals and romantic atmosphere. Initially built in 1960, Mini Venice was later restored and reopened in 2012. In this delightful area, visitors can enjoy rides on small gondolas along the canals and experience a pleasant outing accompanied by the stunning views of the Caspian Sea.

Afterward, we ride the Ferris Wheel and take in breathtaking panoramic views of the city.

At the end of our tour, we return to our hotel after an unforgettable day amidst the captivating beauty of Azerbaijan. The unique atmosphere of Baku will leave a lasting impression in your mind.
