Tour Itinerary
With the sunrise, we start this unforgettable journey by meeting our guests at Trabzon Square at 07:00 AM. Picking up other guests along the way, we begin our journey by crossing the border at the Sarp Border Gate. Throughout this magnificent tour, you will experience the magic of nature and start discovering the unique beauties of Georgia. As you head towards the city center with your guide, you will begin to explore this region where history and nature intertwine.
On the way, we see the bust dedicated to the Enlightenment Path of St. Andrew and proceed towards the Gonio region. Passing through Gonio, we see the Gonio (Apsaros) Fortress on our right, where St. Matthias, one of the 12 apostles of Jesus, was killed by the locals. After a panoramic view of this fortress, we continue on a route lined with eucalyptus trees. Further along, we see a Soviet-era shooting range on our left. Then, we cross over the Çoruh (Chorokhi) River, whose source is in Bayburt, familiar to us, making our first entrance to the city center. On the road ahead, we see Batumi Airport, built by Turkish contractors, and the communication tower, whose architecture resembles a princess’s skirt, as we enter the boulevard road. Along the boulevard, on our left, we notice tourism investments such as the Collosseum Hotel and the White Restaurant (an upside-down house), and we continue our route, seeing the Batumi courthouse on our right, which resembles an inverted milk bottle. Passing through the city center, we see the Dolphinarium, where dolphin shows are held, and nearby, one of Batumi's two large artificial lakes, Nurigeli Lake, from a panoramic view. Shortly ahead on our left, we see the campus of Shota Rustaveli State University, named after the famous medieval Georgian poet. Approaching the city center, we panoramically view the house where famous Russian literary figures Anton Chekhov and Maxim Gorky lived for 15 years, now serving as the Bern Restaurant, before arriving at our restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, we continue our journey towards Tbilisi. With breaks at rest stops along the route, we arrive in Tbilisi. We check into our hotel in Tbilisi to relax and unwind from the day's journey, and then have free time until dinner.
We wake up to the freshness of the morning in our hotel and start the day full of energy with a magnificent breakfast. Then, accompanied by our guide, we set out to discover the unique beauties of Tbilisi. Our first stop is the Chronicle of Georgia, a symbol of a saga where history, mythology, and ages embrace each other. Located on the banks of the Kura River, where the Kartli Hills rise, this magnificent monument whispers an era into the hearts of those who behold it. The masterful work of the legendary sculptor and artist Zurab Tsereteli brings together the history, mythology, and culture of the Georgian nation across ages. Each figure, each detail, tells the story of thousands of years; it carries the echoes of forgotten heroes, kings, warriors, and sages. After our visit here, we head to Tbilisi's famous Rustaveli Avenue.
Walking along Rustaveli Avenue, we feel the rhythm of the city's heart and visit the Freedom Monument. We also see the statue of Georgian artist Shota Kavlashvili and the Rezo Gabriadze Puppet Theater. At the Anchiskhati Basilica of St. Mary, we discover traces of the Georgian Orthodox tradition. Then, we feel the dynamic spirit of the city in the lively atmosphere of Sharden Bars Street. Afterwards, we visit the area with sulfur baths, a hidden secret in the depths of Tbilisi's history. These baths, which form the ancient texture of the city, are silent witnesses to Georgia's long and complex history. First built in the Middle Ages, these magnificent structures have been shaped by various cultural touches over time and have become an integral part of the city's cultural identity. Passing through the historic narrow streets above the sulfur baths, we reach the Jumah Mosque. As we feel the historical atmosphere of the mosque, we embark on a journey towards the peace of the city. Crossing the Bridge of Peace, we witness the magnificent view of the Tbilisi cable car under the shade of the Tree of Life. Climbing up to the Monument to King Vakhtang Gorgasali, we watch the panoramic view of Old Tbilisi.
For lunch, we have free time to taste the exquisite flavors of Georgian cuisine and shop. At the end of our tour, we return to our hotel in Tbilisi to relieve the sweet tiredness of the day and make use of our free time for dinner. For dinner, those who wish can join the unforgettable experience of the Georgian Gala night. At this special event, they will experience the richness of Georgian culture and discover traditional dances, music, and flavors.
After spending the night at our hotel, we start the day with a delicious breakfast, gathering our energy. Then, we set off to explore the historical and cultural heritage of Georgia's ancient capital, Mtskheta. Mtskheta is one of the oldest and most important cities in the country, famous for its history-filled streets. During our tour of the city, we visit historical structures like the Svetitshoveli Chatedrali, providing us with an opportunity to discover Georgia's rich cultural heritage.
After our unforgettable tour in Mtskheta, we head to Kutaisi, Georgia's second-largest city, renowned for its historical and natural beauties. Here, we explore the Prometheus Cave Natural Monument, named after the legendary hero of Greek mythology, Prometheus. This cave features fascinating stalactite formations and underground rivers. After completing our tour of the cave, we begin our journey to Batumi.
Upon arriving in Batumi, we start to explore the historical and cultural richness of this unique city with a city tour. Our first stop is the Batumi Mosque, built in 1866, known for its wooden interior. Then, we visit Piazza Square, reminiscent of European city squares, and the St. Nicholas Church located there. At Europe Square, we see significant landmarks such as the statue of Georgian politician Memed Abashidze and the Batumi astronomical clock, which was once the central bank.
Among the notable modern landmarks reflecting the city's contemporary texture are the Medea Statue, completed in 2007, the Administrative Building of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, and the Poseidon Statue. After hearing about the city's tragic stories at Theatre Square, we proceed to the Old Batumi Boulevard. Here, we visit interesting structures such as the specially designed wedding hall and the Alphabetic Tower.
Experiencing the romantic atmosphere of the city, we visit the historical lighthouse and the "Ali and Nino" statue by Tamara Kvesitadze and Pataa Sanaiya located in Miracle Park. Then, we have free time by the sea for tea, coffee, and shopping. After our free time, we set off towards the Sarpi Border Gate for the final part of our tour. After completing our customs procedures, we spend time at the Setur Duty-Free shop, where we can buy memorable gifts for our loved ones and ourselves.
After shopping, we start our journey towards Trabzon by vehicle. On the last day of the tour, we complete this unforgettable trip filled with memorable moments. This tour program, ideal for discovering Georgia's unique natural beauty and tourist attractions, allows you to closely experience the historical, cultural, and natural wealth of the region with guided tours. This journey offers an experience full of unforgettable memories.
