Tour Itinerary
With the sunrise, we gather at 08:45 in front of Rize Municipality to embark on this unforgettable adventure with our guests. Along the route, we pick up other guests and cross the border between the two countries at the Sarp Border Gate, marking the beginning of our journey. Throughout this wonderful tour, you will experience the magic of nature and begin to discover the unique beauties of Georgia. Accompanied by your guide, as we head towards the city center, you will start exploring this region where history and nature intertwine.
Along the route, after seeing the bust named Enlightenment Path of Saint Andrew, we proceed towards the Gonio region. Passing through Gonio, we see Gonio (Apsaros) Fortress on our right side. After a panoramic view of this fortress, where Saint Matthias, one of the 12 apostles of Jesus, was killed by the locals, we continue on our route through a path lined with eucalyptus trees. Further along our route, on the left side, we see the shooting range used during the Soviet era. Then, we cross over the Chorokhi (Çoruh) River, which originates from Bayburt, and make our first entry into the city center. Along the road, we enter the boulevard and notice tourism investments on our left side, including Collosseum Hotel and the White Restaurant (upside-down house). Continuing on our route, we see the interesting upside-down milk bottle-shaped architecture of the Batumi Courthouse on our right side. As we pass through the city center, we see the Dolphinarium, where dolphin shows are held, on our right side, and next to it, we see Nurigeli Lake, one of Batumi's two large artificial lakes, panoramically. Shortly after, on our left side, we see the Shota Rustaveli State University and its campus, named after the famous Georgian medieval poet. As we approach the city center, we catch a panoramic view of the house where the famous Russian writers Anton Chekhov and Maxim Gorky lived for 15 years, now serving as the Bern restaurant, and then we arrive at our restaurant for lunch. After lunch, we continue on our way to Tbilisi.
With breaks at rest stops along the route, we arrive in Tbilisi. We settle into our hotel in Tbilisi to relax and unwind for the rest of the day until dinner.
We wake up to the freshness of the morning at our hotel and start the day with a magnificent breakfast, full of energy. Then, accompanied by our guide, we set out to explore the unique beauties of Tbilisi. Our first stop is the Chronicle of Georgia, a symbol of an epic where history, mythology, and eras converge. Located on the banks of the Kura River, amidst the Kartli Hills, this monumental monument whispers an era in the hearts of those who behold it, rising towards the sky. A masterpiece by the legendary sculptor and artist Zurab Tsereteli, it brings together the history, mythology, and culture of the Georgian nation throughout the ages. Each figure, each detail, tells the story of thousands of years; echoing the echoes of forgotten heroes, kings, warriors, and sages. After our visit here, we turn our route towards Rustaveli Avenue, the famous street of Tbilisi.
Walking along Rustaveli Avenue, we feel the rhythm of the city's heart and visit the Freedom Monument. Additionally, we see the statue of Georgian artist Shota Kavlashvili and the Rezo Gabriadze Puppet Theater. At Anchiskhati Virgin Mary Church, we discover traces of Georgian Orthodox tradition. Then, we immerse ourselves in the dynamic spirit of the city at Shardeni Bar Street. Afterwards, we visit the area of the Sulfur Baths, a hidden secret in the historical depths of Tbilisi. These baths, forming the old texture of the city, are silent witnesses in Georgia's long and complex history. Initially built in the Middle Ages, these magnificent structures have evolved over time with various cultural touches and have become an integral part of the city's cultural identity today. Passing through the historic narrow streets above the sulfur baths, we reach the Juma Mosque. As we feel the historical atmosphere of the mosque, we embark on a journey towards the serenity of the city. Crossing the Peace Bridge, we witness the magnificent view of the Tbilisi cable car under the shade of the Tree of Life. Climbing to the Statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali, we admire the panoramic view of Old Tbilisi.
We provide free time for our guests to enjoy a delightful taste of Georgian cuisine and shopping during lunch. At the end of our tour, we return to our hotel in Tbilisi to relax and unwind from the day's sweet exhaustion, and to enjoy free time for dinner. Guests who wish to do so can join the unforgettable experience of the Georgian Gala night. In this special event, they will experience the richness of Georgian culture and discover traditional dances, music, and flavors.
After a refreshing breakfast at our hotel, we embark on a journey to explore the historical and cultural heritage of Georgia by heading towards Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia known for its historic streets. During our visit to the city, we explore historical landmarks such as the Samtavro Church, providing us with the opportunity to delve into Georgia's rich cultural heritage.
Following our memorable exploration of Mtskheta, we proceed to Kutaisi, Georgia's second-largest city, renowned for its historical and natural beauties. Here, we discover the Prometheus Cave Natural Monument, named after the legendary figure from Greek mythology, Prometheus, which features fascinating stalactite formations and underground rivers. After concluding our cave exploration, we begin our journey to Batumi.
In Batumi, we embark on a city tour to explore the unique historical and cultural richness of this captivating city. Our first stop is the Batumi Valide Sultan Mosque, built in 1866 with its remarkable wooden interior. We then visit the Piazza Square, reminiscent of European city squares, and the St. Nicholas Church located in the square. At the European Square, we admire important symbols such as the statue of Georgian politician Memed Abashidze and the Batumi astronomical clock, formerly used as the central bank.
We continue to explore the modern aspect of the city, encountering notable landmarks such as the Medea Statue, the Government Building of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, and the Poseidon Statue, completed in 2007. After learning about the city's tragic stories at Theater Square, we proceed to the Old Batumi Boulevard, where we visit intriguing structures like the uniquely designed wedding hall and the Alphabetic Tower.
Experiencing the romantic ambiance of the city, we marvel at the historic lighthouse in Miracle Park and the "Ali and Nino" sculpture by Tamara Kvesitadze and Pataa Sanaiya. Later, we enjoy some free time by the seaside for tea, coffee, and shopping. After our leisure time, we head back to the Sarp Border Gate. Upon completing customs procedures, we have the opportunity for duty-free shopping at Setur Duty-Free Store to purchase souvenirs for ourselves and our loved ones.
Following our shopping excursion, we embark on our journey back to Trabzon. As we conclude this unforgettable tour on its final day, we reflect on the unique natural beauty and tourist attractions of Georgia.
